Cut. Saved. Stitched.

100 of remnant leather discs, each one handcut and stitched onto vintage wool fabric.

This lampshade was created the slow way — the only way I know how.

Over many days, I hand-cut each leather disc, one by one. Hundreds of them. Each disc was then individually hand-stitched onto a base
covered with vintage wool fabric, letting the textures build their own quiet rhythm.

The leather came from reclaimed upholstery offcuts — pieces that were meant to be thrown away, now given a new life as something warm,
sculptural, and full of movement. I love that every disc carries its own subtle marks and history, making the whole piece feel alive.

It’s heavy in the hand, earthy in character, and beautifully impactful in a space. A true labour of love — crafted slowly, intentionally, and with deep respect for materials that others overlooked.
