This shade was a vision that came and never left.
Watching a capiz shell wind chime swinging in the warm summer wind gave me an inspiration to turn unwanted leather pieces into this piece of art and light. Each round was cut by hand and each perfectly imperfect. Stitched on by hand on a vintage wool fabric which makes it as sustainable as it can get. It’s heavy in weight and in impact and would bring texture and warm light hung above the dining table, in a hallway or a bedroom. Options are endless.
It can be shortened one level of circles for more contemporary look (see the interior photo)
